Children & Young People
I’ve been working with children and young people since 2018, supporting them in both school settings and private practice. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where they can feel heard, understood, and able to express themselves in whatever way comes naturally.
For younger children, I often use play-based approaches to help them explore their feelings through creativity, imagination, and interaction. With older children and teens, I adapt my person-centred approach to meet their developmental stage — working together gently and respectfully at their own pace.
No two children are the same, so each session is tailored to suit the individual. Whether your child is feeling anxious, struggling with self-esteem, finding it hard to manage big feelings, or facing a difficult life event, therapy can offer a supportive space to begin making sense of things.
Is this right for your child?
Families often come to me when a child or teen is experiencing:
- Anxiety, worries or panic
- Low mood, irritability, withdrawal or big feelings
- Friendship or family difficulties
- School pressures, exam stress or attendance worries
- Changes at home, loss or bereavement
If any of these sound familiar, I’ll meet your child where they are and we’ll decide together what support could help.

What progress can look like
Every child is different, but the goal outcomes include:
- Better words for feelings and needs
- Calmer responses to tricky moments
- Practical coping tools they can use at home and school
- Stronger confidence and self-esteem
- Parents/carers feeling clearer on how to support
