Counselling in Manchester & Online (Adults, Children & Young People)

I’m a BACP-registered counsellor. My core approach is person-centred, which means we work at your pace and focus on what matters most to you. Where useful, I also draw on CBT and solution-focused techniques to give you practical tools between sessions.

Yes. I support children and young people (typically ages 6–16). With younger children I often use play-based activities to help them express feelings safely; with teens I adapt a person-centred approach that feels age-appropriate and collaborative.

Yes—alongside in-person sessions in Manchester, I offer secure online video or telephone sessions, which many families find easier around school, work and travel.

Before you commit, I offer a free 15-minute phone call so we can see if we’re a good fit. Your first full session is 50 minutes and gives us time to understand your goals, talk about confidentiality and boundaries, and agree next steps—gently and at your pace.

Sessions are 50 minutes. Many people start weekly and then review the rhythm as things stabilise. I offer short-term focused work or longer-term therapy depending on what you need.

I’m BACP-registered and work to the BACP ethical framework, which means you can expect safe, confidential practice, regular supervision and ongoing training.

We’ll agree together what’s most helpful. Sessions themselves are private so your child has a safe space, but I can check in with parents/carers at agreed points and share ideas for supporting progress at home and school.

Common reasons include anxiety, low mood, big feelings, stress, self-esteem and confidence, friendship or family difficulties, school pressures, life changes and loss. Therapy can build understanding, coping strategies and resilience that carry into everyday life.

I see clients in person in Manchester and also work online across the UK by video or telephone. Some people choose a blend—starting online and switching to in-person (or the other way around).

Simply get in touch by sending me a short email about what you’d like help with. I’ll arrange a free 15-minute intro call to talk about what you would like to get from counselling. Then we will take it from there and look to book your first session at a time that works for you.
